Hi there, thanks for dropping in! I'm excited to share my world with you. I was seriously bitten by the reading bug at an early age, and as I grew up, the dream to become a full-time writer never abandoned me. Today, I write crime fiction. Plot-driven, fast-paced stories that you can digest on a flight, a train ride, or a cozy evening while having your favorite drink. When I’m not devouring novels myself, I can be found writing my own novel, gallivanting the world, or sipping a full-bodied Bordeaux alongside my wife and lifelong friend Alex. I often get asked why I decided to become a writer. There’s a lot packed in the answer, but for me, it invariably comes down to this: — The journey of writing a book is an amazing experience. The constant surprises I get from my characters as I develop them and weave them into a plot, is one of the reasons I find the tenacity to keep on writing, even on the days when I don’t feel like it. Especially on those days. — You learn something new. You do a lot of research to be authentic. You learn wonderful stuff. Sometimes, stuff you wouldn't ordinarily even think about, like the reason San Francisco is home to so many without a roof over their head; or what a criminologist wears on a typical field day; or how a sheet of paper smells when it pops out of an old Remington typewriter. I hope you will enjoy reading my books as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them. I look forward to connecting with you soon. Adam |

“Did you like scary stories as a child, Detective?” Zakharov’s altered voice scratched at me.
“I liked the one with the wolf and the red hood. Supposed to be a cute story, only in the version my father told me, the wolf ate everyone.”
Vitaly Zakharov is a fatalist. A sadistic, powerful drug overlord wanted by the FBI for countless crimes, he’s been slippery as an eel for years. Now the Bureau has run out of time—an informant reports that the fatalist is contemplating mass murder within mere days. The tip leads to Zakharov’s lair in Miami Beach, and the Feds are ready to strike. There’s one problem: no one knows what he looks like, not even Zakharov’s henchmen. Mila Armstrong, a newly minted detective with the SFPD’s Serial Homicides division, is on the FBI’s joint task force to pin down Zakharov. Her famed intuition and the ability to see hidden patterns in crimes have served her well in the past. But are they enough to find and stop evil that has no face? And what if the only person who can help you is an old nemesis you’ve put on death row? |
